- Coordinate with General Foreperson, Project Accountants and other stakeholders to ensure effective payroll processing
- Maintain filing system for payroll documents in accordance with auditing procedures.
- Maintain documents for employee information including labour qualifications and certifications, training, etc.
- Assist project controls in tracking, monitoring and analyzing productivity data and project costs where applicable
- Perform all payroll duties such as verifying and submitting all timesheets, audit reports, prepare new employee packages and termination/layoff forms, rate changes, and travel and board calculations
- Responsible for the time and attendance system employee onboarding, off boarding, daily attendance reconciliations
- Review audit and exception reports in conjunction with payroll processing deadlines to verify accurate data entry and maintenance
- Work closely with other teams to ensure timely resolution to employee questions and data processing issues
- Assist with report requests and other administrative tasks as assigned
- Post-secondary education in Business Administration or equivalent
- 2+ years of work experience related to data entry and administration
- Previous experience with SAP would be considered an asset
- Knowledge of trade unions would be considered an asset
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office
- Strong organizational skills to meet multiple deadlines and multitask, while maintaining attention to detail
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work both independently and as a team in a fast-paced environment
