GSK is looking to hire a Hospital Sales Representative, Respiratory to join our Canadian Specialty Care Division. This role is field-based, with regular travel across hospital accounts in Northern Alberta. This is a key sales role responsible for driving growth and market share within the COPD and respiratory biologics portfolio, ensuring patients have access to innovative treatments. This role is responsible for managing a hospital-focused territory, building strong partnerships with healthcare professionals, and driving business growth in a market with evolving access dynamics.In this role, you will be responsible for developing and executing strategic territory plans to engage hospital-based healthcare professionals, including pulmonologists, respirologists, allied care teams, and pharmacists. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including Market Access, Medical Science Liaisons (MSLs), and Marketing, to ensure alignment and effective execution. Your expertise will enable impactful engagements, improved patient access, and measurable business results.How We WorkAs a Hospital Sales Representative, you will work in a dynamic and collaborative environment that supports your professional growth by providing:Company-leased vehicle and company-issued equipmentComprehensive onboarding and formal trainingA collaborative, dynamic team environment with ongoing support across sales leadership to ensure success in a hospital environmentRole ResponsibilitiesThe responsibilities of the role will include:Developing and implementing strategic business plans for the hospital respiratory portfolio with targeted specialists, hospitals, and allied healthcare professionalsDesigning and driving unique customer-focused initiatives to build GSK advocacy and accelerate sales growthBuilding strong, trust-based relationships with key opinion leaders and hospital stakeholders within the assigned territoryPartnering with GTR colleagues to develop and execute strategic programs targeting Family Medicine and General Practice physiciansNavigating access challenges effectively and leveraging business acumen to identify and capitalize on growth opportunitiesPreparing and managing territory budgets with accountability for resource allocationConducting impactful daily customer calls (targeting 5-6 per day) to drive measurable contributions to market share growthCollaborating with MSLs, GAMA reps, and cross-functional partners to align field initiatives with brand strategiesExecuting field programs such as Lunch & Learns and scientific engagements to enhance customer valueEnsuring all activities align with internal compliance and regulatory standardsQualifications & Skills:Bachelor’s degree in business, life sciences, or related field3–5 years of pharmaceutical sales experience, ideally in specialty/hospital/biologicsExperience in hospital or specialty care settings, with respiratory therapeutic area experience highly desirableStrong relationship-building skills with the ability to manage ambiguity and adapt to access barriersProven business acumen with a data-driven approach to identifying and capitalizing on opportunitiesSales aptitude and drive for performance in a field-based, autonomous environmentDemonstrated ability to collaborate across internal teams (e.g., MSLs, GTR, GAMA)Excellent verbal and written communication skillsProficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)Valid driver’s license and clean driving record (required for company vehicle eligibility)Ability to travel extensively within the territory, minimizing windshield time for efficiencyPreferred Qualifications:Working experience in a teaching hospital environmentExposure to cross-functional collaboration with medical, marketing, or government affairs teamsDemonstrated leadership and team collaboration skillsStrong working knowledge of scientific research study interpretationProven ability to build and maintain access to a network of physicians and healthcare stakeholdersFunctional knowledge of data analysis techniques*** This position requires the employee to drive routinely on Company business and allows for the provision of a company – leased vehicle.
