As a Manager, Laboratory Operations, your responsibilities may include but are not limited to:Oversee and maintain laboratory policies and procedures for equipment maintenance, laboratory cleanliness and organization, Environmental Health and Safety requirementsManage purchasing of laboratory supplies and reagents, working with cross-functional groups to reconcile orders, invoices, and receipt confirmationsWork closely with Facilities department to optimize equipment maintenance schedules, coordinate with vendors to ensure rapid equipment repairs, equipment induction process, and utilization of electronic asset management systemPerform regular preventive activities on laboratory equipment in GLP-like environment, manage equipment moves and space utilization, as well as coordinating emerging equipment and technology demonstrationsMaintain training documents for equipment, hazardous waste management, and laboratory safetyActs as a point of contact between cross functional groups, sites, and outside collaborations + vendorsWork with teams to manage sample inventory onsite and offsite; act as lead coordinator with offsite storage project management teamContribute to continuous improvement initiatives to increase operational efficiency of the laboratoryAssist with implementation of new assays, equipment, programs and/or procedures in the assigned area(s) as neededBasic Qualifications:Bachelor's degree and 6+ years of relevant experience; ORMasters' degree and 4+ years of relevant experience; ORPhD and 0+ years of relevant experiencePreferred Qualifications:Degree in Biology, Immunology, or other Life sciences with at least 7 years hands-on experience in a laboratory1-3 years laboratory management experienceGeneral knowledge of working in GMP environmentAbility to work independently and collaborativelyExcellent organizational, interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills are essentialStrong understanding (advanced skills) of Word, Excel, & PowerPointSelf-motivated with a strong sense of ownership in areas of responsibilityComfortable in a fast-paced company environment with potentially minimal direction and able to adjust workload based upon changing prioritiesPeople Leader Accountabilities:Create Inclusion - knowing the business value of diverse teams, modeling inclusion, and embedding the value of diversity in the way they manage their teams.Develop Talent - understand the skills, experience, aspirations and potential of their employees and coach them on current performance and future potential.
