- Provide daily support for the firm’s financial systems, addressing user inquiries and troubleshooting technical or functional issues.
- Assist with the implementation of system upgrades, enhancements, and patches, ensuring smooth adoption and minimal disruption.
- Work with the Financial Systems Architect to maintain and support integrations between financial systems and other firm applications.
- Gather, analyze, and document user requirements for new reports, workflows, and system functionality.
- Develop and maintain financial reports, dashboards, and analytical tools to support decision-making.
- Test system changes, enhancements, and integrations to ensure quality and accuracy.
- Assist with data integrity checks, reconciliations, and ongoing system audits.
- Maintain documentation of system processes, workflows, and reporting structures.
- Collaborate with finance and IT teams to identify opportunities to streamline and automate financial processes.
- Liaise with vendors as needed for issue resolution and support escalations.
- Stay current on industry best practices and financial systems developments, sharing insights with the Architect and Finance leadership.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science (or equivalent 4-year degree).
- 3–5 years of experience supporting financial systems in a professional services or corporate environment; law firm experience is an asset.
- Familiarity with financial applications such as Aderant Expert, Elite Enterprise, or similar platforms.
- Solid understanding of accounting principles, financial transaction flows, and system interfaces.
- Strong knowledge of SQL and proficiency in developing queries and reports.
- Experience with reporting tools (e.g., SSRS, Power BI, or equivalent).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts into user-friendly language.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and work independently with minimal supervision.
- Team-oriented mindset with a willingness to learn and grow under the guidance of the Financial Systems Architect.
- Bilingualism (French/English) may be required in some offices.
