- Assist in managing operational systems, processes, and policies in support of the organization's mission, particularly for CLASS 1 (a), airport operations.
- Communicate effectively with key stakeholders about job site conditions and concerns that may impact operational requirements.
- Support the enforcement of all protocols related to the aviation industry, client requirements, legislation, and division-specific guidelines.
- Assist in financial management, including planning, systems, and controls of the branch. Participate in financial reviews to stay informed about the business's state.
- Collaborate with the management team to assess operational effectiveness and strategize for enhanced workflow and productivity.
- Contribute to short-term and long-term planning, and support initiatives that promote operational excellence within the organization.
- Facilitate efficient collaboration and coordination between departments, maintaining communication with managers to ensure successful job completion and compliance.
- Assist in reviewing and approving operational schedules and workforce planning models. Support in auditing and managing branch overhead.
- Participate in operational meetings with direct reports to discuss performance results, customer surveys, and compliance scores. Keep abreast of corporate and industry changes.
- Demonstrate understanding and participation in safety principles and practices; adhere to all safety policies and procedures to maintain a safe work environment. Support liaison efforts with the Health and Safety internal community for compliance.
- Help manage and optimize the effectiveness of supporting departments (Human Resources, Quality, Administration, and Finance) by ensuring coordination and communication between business functions.
- Support a labour relations strategy that aligns with operational needs and upholds the company's culture and values.
- Bachelor’s degree in business management or related field or equivalent work experience
- A minimum of 5 years experience as a senior manager, including overseeing a team
- Preference will be given to individuals with experience in the aviation industry
- Demonstrated ability to develop and implement action plans that achieve objectives.
- Experience and track record leading, motivating, and coaching a management team to success.
- Focused on continuous improvement, must be creative and an innovative thinker.
- Strong commitment to teamwork.
- Solid operational background.
- Highly flexible and adaptable to support 24/7 operation.
- Ability to work under pressure and handle stressful situations.
- Strong understanding of legal requirements and responsibilities in a unionized environment.

- Strategic Planning: must ensure the development and implementation of a clear strategic plan for an organization or business unit.
- Financial planning: responsible for looking at the future of the business and making key investments and investment recommendations.
- Proven Visionary Leadership: provides clear goals, outlining a strategic plan for achieving those goals and equipping and empowering each member to act on the plan at the organizational, team and individual levels.
- Conflict Management: the ability to help others through emotional or tense situations, tactfully bringing disagreements into the open, and defining solutions that everyone can endorse.
- Most of the time is spent in an office environment (indoors), but may on occasion work outside, with frequent opportunity to move about.
- Physical requirements include but are not limited to - standing; lifting; bending, stooping, kneeling
- Ability to mentally focus and concentrate for prolonged periods of time.
- Analyzing information and evaluating results to choose the best solution and solve problems.
- Are exposed to sounds and noise levels that are distracting or uncomfortable on a weekly basis.
- Work near others. They often share the same workspace
