- Develop and maintain excellent customer service to internal and external customers.
- Dispatch drivers for domestic shipment pick-ups and deliveries.
- Data entry.
- Ensure compliance with DOT regulations and established internal policies and guidelines.
- Prioritize time sensitive cargo.
- Notify drivers of pick-up and delivery assignments.
- Maintain shipment information under the Customs control document.
- Ensure required paperwork is submitted timely to Import personnel.
- Read and assimilate stored data and enter new data in computer database.
- Assist with, verifying the labeling of domestic shipments, and noting the count and condition of cargo received.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Ability to read, comprehend, and complete basic checklists, forms or other related documents.
- Good vision and depth perception required.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide.
- PC literate. Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office, internet, web-based and job specific software applications.
- Accurate typing skills and/or data entry skills.
- Capable of communicating and interacting effectively with multi-functional and diverse backgrounds and effectively presenting information in one on one or in small group situations.
- Ability to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner.
- Ability to balance team and individual responsibilities.
- Responds promptly and professionally to customer needs.
- Must be able to read, write and speak English and French fluently.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Minimum 1 years related experience.
- DOT Dangerous Goods/Hazardous Materials Certification
- Knowledge of local geographic market.
- Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
- Minimum 1 year related experience.
