The successful candidate should be comfortable working and collaborating on a variety of different projects with team members across North America. The successful candidate will be based in our Calgary, AB office.Your Key ResponsibilitiesUsing your sound knowledge of drafting practices, BIM and CAD platforms, you will work closely with other technicians / technologists, engineers, and senior designers to complete the following tasks:Prepare engineering drawings and models for municipal, commercial, and industrial buildings projects using Revit and other related CAD software.Prepare presentation graphics and report figures.Coordinate project drawings with project managers, technical staff, and others.Complete model reviews and collaborate with other technical disciplines.Ensure that the project’s needs are met in a timely and effective manner.Working within the project team from initial design to construction completion.Support contract administration personnel by reviewing submittals, shop drawings, and producing contract administration documentation.Understand and adhere to Stantec and client standards.Your Capabilities and CredentialsBasic knowledge and application of accessibility codes and applicable building codes.Basic understanding of all phases of architectural construction document production and the relationship between drawings and specifications.Ability to conduct space planning, block planning, and adjacencies in coordination with building program.Ability to develop floor plans, elevations, and details.Ability to check own work for accuracy and completeness and manage time to meet project budget and schedule.Ability to participate and collaborate in a project team setting through all phases of document production.Ability to engage in creative and critical thought. To hand sketch and communicate concepts and ideas to others effectively.Ability to interpret sketches, drawings, building program and other similar material. To communicate abstract ideas (verbal/written).Requires understanding of Microsoft Office Suite, Revit, AutoCAD, Abobe Creative Suite; Prefer experience with Enscape, AI, SketchUP, Newforma, Bluebeam.Education and ExperienceBachelor’s degree or equivalent in Interior Design or related fieldMinimum of 2 years experience preferredThis role is located on the Hawaiian island of Oahu in Honolulu and candidates must live in Hawaii or be willing to self-relocate to Hawaii.This position has direct interaction with multiple healthcare agencies that may require proof of certain vaccinations such as COVID and TB to enter the facilities.Typical office environment working with computers and remaining sedentary for long periods of time.
