- Coordinates administrative processes for internal research grant competitions
- Prepares calls for proposals and distributes program information to faculty and researchers
- Receives and reviews submissions to ensure eligibility and completeness
- Coordinates internal review and adjudication processes, including committee logistics, documentation, and scoring records
- Tracks internal funding allocations and prepares summary reports on competition outcomes
- Assists with maintaining internal grant tracking systems and documentation
- Prepares reports on grant and scholarship activities for internal stakeholders
- Maintains records related to competitions, adjudications, and funding decisions
- Responds to inquiries from faculty, staff, and students regarding internal grants and scholarship opportunities
- Provides guidance on application procedures, deadlines, and documentation requirements
- Assists with the preparation of information sessions and guidance materials for applicants
- Assists with internal scholarship competition coordination and timelines
- Reviews applications for completeness and eligibility
- Coordinates institutional adjudication committees and documentation
- Assists applicants with administrative questions regarding submission procedures
- Prepares institutional nomination documentation and submitting materials through agency systems
- Minimum of a bachelor's degree in business, public administration, or related field. Knowledge of research processes is an asset. A research-based Master's degree would be considered an asset
- Minimum of two years of related experience, or equivalent
- Excellent communication skills
- Demonstrable attention to detail and accuracy is required
- Familiarity with federal research funding agencies, such as the Canadian Institutes of Health Research, the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada, and the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council, is beneficial
- Knowledge of university research administration, grant programs, and scholarship processes is considered an asset
- Must be able to work in a team environment, independently as required, and multitask on a variety of duties and projects
