Job DescriptionWhat is the opportunity?It’s an exciting time to join the RBC Digital Business Analyst Team.The Digital Business Analyst team plays a pivotal role by collaborating with stakeholders to analyze and document detailed business and system solution requirements using the enterprise standard requirements methodology, to deliver solutions that re-imagine the customer experience.In this role, you will be responsible for business analysis activities on medium to large size projects. You will demonstrate advanced knowledge and ability, and can apply the competency in new or complex situations and guides other professionals. You will be responsible for execution of all aspects of requirements delivery- planning, elicitation, analysis and documentation, management, and support - for changes to Business Areas and Technology.What will you do?Perform requirements stakeholder analysis to identify impacted or influencing groups and stakeholder requirements responsibilities.Develop plans and accurate estimates for completion of requirements, continuously improving the level of detail and accuracy of estimates.Manage risks, assumptions and constraints for requirements, and communicate to appropriate parties.Define the business analysis approach including tasks and deliverables based on the project and delivery methodology.Lead requirements prioritization and leverage techniques to drive out business priorities.Facilitate collaborative sessions with large and diverse business stakeholder groups to drive requirements discovery, analysis, and review.Apply advanced elicitation techniques to work with different types of stakeholder groups.Analyze and document scope of the business solution using enterprise-standard requirements methodology.Analyze and document detailed business and system solution requirements using enterprise standard requirements methodology.Verify requirements for quality and validate requirements with the impacted stakeholders.Build and maintain a repository of reusable requirements documentation to support future initiatives, following the enterprise standards.Provide consulting services to business stakeholders such as:Assist in developing evaluation criteria of 3rd party vendorsAssist in evaluation of 3rd party vendor solutions and requirementsPartner with 3rd party vendors to ensure that the vendor requirements are documented.Adheres to RBC standards and/or structure and consumable defined by the project team.Provides coverage of the scope requirements.Integrates into requirements repositories for future reference and re-use.Prepare requirements for review, applying various communication techniques and lead requirements walkthrough and sign off sessions.Apply advanced coverage analysis techniques to ensure relationship between scope, detailed requirements, and testing through to implementationCommunicate the impact of changes through cost-benefit analysis taking into consideration time, effort, and business prioritiesResolve conflicts/issues on behalf of BA team and escalate as requiredSupport QA in development of the Functional System test casesValidate that Functional System test plan and test cases have full coverage of the critical requirementsSupport Design and Development activities by providing requirements clarificationsSupport UAT and PIV activities including planning, defect triage, and root-cause analysis for requirements-related issues.Support the development of the end-user documentation and training..Provide guidance and support to build the capabilities of the junior BAs.Support the consistency of standards and adherence to enterprise requirements methodology within own BA team.Effectively communicate and build rapport with team members and stakeholders.Establish an environment of cooperation, collaboration, and teamwork among colleagues, business groups and Technology.Enhance skills and build knowledge in all aspects of the organization and within the Business Analysis domain.What do you need to succeed?Must have:5 + years of working experience as a Business Analyst and/or Business Systems AnalystExperience with user stories, business and systems specification, business context diagrams and business process mapsExperience working on Digital (Online and Mobile) banking projectsExperience working on Agile projectsWorking knowledge of JIRA and ConfluenceExperience in requirements planning and prioritization including stakeholder analysis and effort estimationRequirements analysis and documentationRequirements management and communication – requirements walkthroughs; scope and change management; traceability; configuration management, Backlog ManagementNice-to-have:Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) or Project Management Institute –Professional in Business Analysis Certification (PMI – PBA)Masters Certificate in Business AnalysisWhat’s in it for you?We thrive on the challenge to be our best, progressive thinking to keep growing, and working together to deliver trusted advice to help our clients thrive and communities prosper.
