- Design and develop advanced electrical control systems for HVAC equipment
- Experience with PLC and HMI systems is preferred
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Applications, Engineering, and Service) to define technical requirements and develop project specifications
- Analyze and troubleshoot control systems, resolving technical problems and providing innovative solutions
- Integrate various building systems using protocols such as Modbus, BACnet, and others
- Provide support for system commissioning, startup, and customer handover
- Investigate electrical and electronic failures and recommend corrective actions
- Provide tailored solutions for VRF system integration and unique control challenges
- Ensure compliance with relevant codes, standards, and industry best practices (NEC, CEC, IEC, IEEE)
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Control Systems, or related discipline
- 5+ years of experience designing and developing electrical control systems
- Extensive experience with PLC platforms (e.g., Siemens, Allen-Bradley, Mitsubishi)
- Controls programming and configuration background
- Familiarity with low voltage (<750 volts) electrical design
- Solid understanding of BAS systems and communication protocols (Modbus, BACnet)
- Proficiency in interpreting and developing electrical schematics and layouts
- Strong understanding of control system software and hardware integration
- Professional Engineer (P.Eng) license or equivalent certification is preferred
- Previous experience in HVAC, manufacturing, or industrial environments
- Strong problem-solving and analytical capabilities
- Self-starter who can work independently and collaboratively
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
