This role leads the Finance Business Partnering function and serves as the senior finance advisor to executive and business leaders across the organization.Highly collaborative and forward‑looking, this position requires a seasoned finance leader with strong commercial acumen, exceptional influencing skills, and the ability to translate complex financial information into clear, actionable insights. Success in this role comes from balancing strategic leadership with hands‑on partnership ensuring strong financial discipline while enabling smarter, faster decisions across the business.What You Will DoStrategic Finance Leadership & Business PartneringAct as the senior finance partner to executive and senior business leaders, influencing strategic and financial decision‑making at an enterprise levelProvide forward‑looking insights on business performance, risks, and opportunities, ensuring leadership has a clear financial view of outcomes before decisions are madeTranslate complex financial data into clear strategic recommendations that support national and multi‑business initiativesServe as the finance lead for major strategic discussions involving investment prioritization, resource allocation, pricing, margin, and cost managementAct as the “go‑to” finance leader for initiatives with broad enterprise or national financial implicationsLeadership of Finance Business PartneringLead, coach, and develop a high‑performing team of Finance Business PartnersSet clear expectations and ensure consistent, high‑quality financial analysis, modeling, and insight delivery across all business unitsReview, challenge, and approve assumptions, analyses, and recommendations produced by the teamProvide mentorship, escalation support, and capability development to elevate the overall impact of Finance Business PartneringFoster strong engagement, collaboration, and accountability within the teamFinancial Planning, Forecasting & AnalysisOwn business unit budgeting, forecasting, and long‑range planning cyclesConsolidate business unit plans into an integrated, strategically aligned financial outlookLead scenario modeling, sensitivity analysis, and financial impact assessments to support informed decision‑makingOversee development and approval of financial models for capital expenditures, branch openings, relocations, closures, acquisitions, divestitures, and major initiativesEnsure plans are realistic, aligned to strategy, and actively used to guide the businessBusiness Performance, Controls & GovernanceProvide timely, decision‑oriented performance reporting and insights to senior leadershipIdentify and clearly communicate key performance trends, risks, and opportunitiesPartner with Sales, Operations, Credit, and Purchasing to improve working capital and overall financial performanceEnsure adherence to financial policies, governance standards, and data integrityPromote a strong culture of accountability, ethics, and financial discipline across the businessCross‑Functional Collaboration & Continuous ImprovementBuild strong, trusted relationships across Finance and the broader organizationDrive continuous improvement in forecasting tools, planning processes, and analytical capabilitiesPartner with BI, IT, and Finance peers to enable scalable, efficient, and insight‑driven reportingShare best practices and contribute to the overall effectiveness and leadership of the Finance functionWhat You BringUniversity degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or a related fieldCPA (or equivalent professional designation)10+ years of progressive finance experience, including business partnering and financial planning & analysisProven people leadership experience, including coaching and developing high‑performing teamsStrong commercial and strategic mindset with the ability to connect financial results to business driversAdvanced financial modeling, forecasting, and analytical capabilitiesExceptional communication and influencing skills, with comfort presenting to executive leadershipAdvanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint; experience with enterprise planning tools an assetHighly collaborative, proactive leader who thrives in a fast‑paced, complex environmentWillingness to travel across Canada (~10%)
