Located in downtown Hamilton, I am a 26-year-old male quadriplegic seeking assistance with my daily routines. The ideal candidate will have a PSW certificate and the ability to effectively communicate, read, and write in English. The work schedule required would be Monday and Thursday mornings, as well as Saturday evenings from 4 pm to midnight, this being a consistent requirement every week. The primary duties will include assisting with a Hoyer lift, providing bathing and dressing assistance, conducting range of motion exercises, undertaking laundry tasks, assisting in meal planning and preparation, hand-washing dishes, aiding with lifts and transfers, supporting patient positioning activities, and offering care for a catheter/colostomy. The PSW I seek should have experience or the willingness to work with mobility challenges, including paralysis and issues related to incontinence and quad/paraplegic care.
