The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering exceptional care and support to our clients, while ensuring their comfort, safety, and overall well-being.This position is based in Ponoka, AB. Mileage is compensated for successful applicants traveling from Red Deer and surrounding areas.Key Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive homemaking services, including but not limited to cleaning, cooking, laundry, and general household management
  • Offer companionship and accompany clients to community activities and events
  • Administer personal care services in accordance with the care plan directives
  • Ensure the emotional, spiritual, and physical comfort and safety of clients to the highest possible standard
  • Assist clients with activities of daily living, tailored to meet their specific needs
  • Perform specialized procedures for clients where training has been provided while demonstrating current competency
  • Observe and document client conditions in line with company standards; promptly report any unusual events or changes in client condition to the Supervisor or Office
  • Implement and adhere to infection prevention practices

QualificationsShiftCasual Employment in PonokaMust be able to work all required shifts: Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday from 7:00 am - 7:00 pm (12-hour shifts)Other shifts may be available for pick up depending on your AvailabilityWork Setting: The role requires providing care in the client's residence, which is a smoking environmentRequirements
  • HCA Directory Registration in Alberta
  • Negative TB Test from within the past 6 months
  • Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector from within the past 6 months
  • Personal Care
  • Provide comprehensive homemaking services, including but not limited to cleaning, cooking/BBQ, laundry, and general household management
  • Experience in providing compassionate care for individuals with brain injuries
  • Must be willing to work in a smoking household
  • Strong knowledge of the principles of caregiving as well as well as customer service
  • Able to communicate in spoken and written English; French proficiency will be deemed an asset
  • Provide high-quality care services to clients with current knowledge of practices for community care
  • Physically assist clients with movement and/or repositioning; able to lift 23 kgs., squat, bend, stand and reach
  • Reliable mode of transportation; driver's license and automobile
