Cardiac sonographers work alongside and with physicians, using technology to help assess patients and their conditions. Perform Echo ultrasound examinations as requested in accordance to the department's standards and techniques.About YouWe would love to hear from you if you have the following:
- Must be a graduate of an accredited School of Diagnostic Medical Ultrasound
- Sonography Canada certification
- Nova Scotia College of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy Professionals (NSCMIRTP) licensure
- Current BLS certification
- Minimum of one year clinical experience preferred
- Experience in a tertiary care setting an asset
- Experience in Adult Congenital Heart Disease, TEE, Dobutamine Stress Echo, Exercise Stress Echo, and Research Echo preferred
- Experience with Philips IE 33, Epiq 7 and Xcelera Workstations an asset
- Experience with General Electric Vivid E95 an asset
- Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred
- Permanent full-time position; 75 hours biweekly
- Shift work required, evenings, nights, and weekends
