- Provide first-rate assistance to customers in selecting welding equipment, durable goods, power tools, safety supplies and industrial gases.
- Provide excellent customer service in person, by telephone and by e-mail.
- Meet customer needs by recommending appropriate products and services.
- Seek to expand existing customer base with all product lines.
- Analyze and expedite customer orders in a timely manner.
- Enter sales data, quotes and other relevant information into the inventory control system.
- Ensure that customer inquiries related to billing issues, bottle balances, order status and delivery time are properly handled.
- Assist manager in ordering appropriate merchandise to ensure stock remains at an acceptable level.
- Replenish store merchandise.
- Maintain current prices on all store displays and products.
- Prepare and deliver effective presentations and sales proposals to potential customers.
- Identify, monitor and document competitive market activities by gathering current market information on pricing, products, new products, delivery schedules and merchandising techniques.
- 2 to 5 years' experience in industry, customer service or sales of welding or industrial products
- Knowledge of welding processes and products is an asset but not mandatory.
- Good knowledge of computer systems and Google Suite
- High school diploma
- Class 5 license, clean driving record
- Positive attitude and customer service focus
- Forklift experience would also be an asset.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs
