- Assist in planning, coordinating, and executing project planning and scheduling activities with project managers and other project stakeholders as requested
- Create and provide analysis on daily and weekly cost and productivity reports
- Evaluate actual construction progress and provide regular schedule updates
- Generate look-ahead schedules for project teams as requested
- Understand scheduling logic/sequencing with the ability to understand errors and correct where needed
- Incorporate change orders into schedules and forecasts, as necessary
- Read and interpret construction drawings and job specifications
- Confirm project status; identify and report on variations in the schedule in a timely manner
- Coordinate the development, maintenance, and review of discipline and project schedules
- Provide guidance, direction, and specialized assistance for the resolution of difficult project control problems including time impact analysis.
- Interface with clients, attend regular meetings and give statistical reports
- Coordinate with project team to develop revision or recovery schedules as needed
- Prepare written narratives for all schedule submittals
- Perform other tasks related to this function as assigned
- Five (5) plus years of construction scheduling experience, is required
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering and/or Construction Management or related field or an equivalent combination of technical training and experience will be considered
- Proficiency in various project controls software such as Excel, Primavera (P6), Microsoft Project and other company-specific software
- Demonstrated knowledge of corporate Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) and how the structures are integrated into [software], Critical Path Method (CPM) scheduling, and Earned Value Analysis, is required
- Experience utilizing TILOS and experience with time distance diagrams, is preferred
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects/activities in a dynamic, fast paced environment
- Excellent time-management and organizational skills, attention to detail, with a proven ability to meet deadlines with minimal supervision
- Strong verbal communications and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
- Able and willing to work extended hours of work and travel to project site/locations, as required
