- In this role, the incumbent will issue recommendations and have influence on the system verification and validation of the Telesat LEO system
- Work with various Vendors to support the Test Requirements, Test Plans, Test Results and RVTM reviews
- Work with the other segments to support the development of the internal Test Plans and verification methods.
- Support Over The Air (OTA) Test Planning and activities including the Test automation processes.
- Support System Acceptance Planning activities for the LEOP and IOT.
- Develop system and sub system verification matrices against system requirements
- Plays an active role in system design and test activities
- Configuring test equipment like Satellite Link Emulators, signal generator, spectrum analyzer etc.
- Ensure product under test meets technical, functional, performance and business requirements
- Keep the lab functional and update to date with known hardware and software configuration to execute various test scenarios as necessary
- Work with partners and other vendors in various test campaigns
- Develop and maintain system and sub system verification matrices for operational, autonomy, resilience, and availability requirements (NOC/SOC autonomy, redundancy, failover, graceful degradation).
- Lead system level operational test planning, execution, and reporting, including:
o Autonomy periods during GNSS outages and loss of control segments
o Progressive deployment and service continuity scenarios
- Serve as System Operations SME, supporting NMS, EMS, OSS/BSS and satellite operations teams.
- Define and execute LEOP, IOT, commissioning, and service activation test scenarios from a system perspective.
- Develop and maintain operational testbeds simulating outages, degraded modes, and recovery workflows.
- Perform hands on testing in the LEO Lab for operational workflows, monitoring, alarms, and recovery.
- Validate FCAPS, telemetry, logging, anomaly detection, and root cause investigation capabilities.
- Support System Acceptance Planning for LEOP and IOT phases.
- • Experience with automation of operational workflows (Python, scripting).
- Familiarity with hybrid/private cloud architectures used in satellite operations.
- Experience supporting LEOP and IOT acceptance activities.
- Strong cross team communication and leadership skills. * Experience with NetConf, gNMI Protocols
