Position: Journeyperson Carpenter - Coquitlam, BCProject Type: BuildingsProject Location: Coquitlam, BCRate: $43.49 to $45.75 per hourSchedule: Monday to Friday - OT as per site needsAccommodations: Local OnlyTravel Details: Not AvailableGC: GrahamAllied Partner: Technical Workforce Inc.Reference Number: 29475We are currently recruiting for a Journeyperson Carpenter to join the Buildings team at one of the projects in Coquitlam, BC!This position is in Coquitlam, BC and does not have camp accommodations, travel allowance, or living out allowance.This is a 5 and 2 schedule with the possibility of working afternoons, evenings, and weekends.AS A JOURNEYPERSON CARPENTER, YOU WILL:
Build forms for concrete
Cut, shape, and join
Look for and fix deficiencies
Building of hoarding and other temporary structures
Checks accuracy of work, and makes adjustments as required
Studies blueprints for work planning
Constructs and forms chutes for pouring concrete
Erects scaffolding and ladders for assembling structures above ground level
Acts as a work leader and mentors to apprentice carpenters
Informs immediate supervisor of abnormalities or defects and/or takes appropriate measures
General site upkeep
Requirements:
Preference will be given to a Journeyperson Carpenter Ticket from a recognized provincial training authority
Non-ticketed carpenters must provide proof of hours relevant to the industrial Carpentry trade
Experience with concrete formwork required
Certifications: CSTS & WHMIS
Fall Protection is an asset
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Describe and point out safety compliance and regulatory issues
Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
