Together, we are EXP.Are you ready to design your future?Be our next Municipal Site Inspector!Your Work Experience at EXPIn this role, you will be a part of the Construction Services team, of the infrastructure sector based in Brampton office and have the opportunity to work on linear and vertical (treatment plants, pumping stations) municipal projects.What a day at EXP has in store for you
- Oversee, document, review, and assess contractor's compliance with contractual requirements
- Take accurate and detailed measurements of all work performed by the contractor to ensure accurate payments for work performed
- Preparing daily site reports
- Assist the Contract Administrator in preparing various internal/external reports and other status reports to Client
- Verify onsite material. Also witness and record in the daily reports the removal & disposal of materials
- Complete and verify the “As-constructed” redline drawings, daily. This will consist of surveys of elevations and ties to connection locations
- Assist the Contract Administrator with the review of contractor submissions (critical path schedules, field changes, monthly payment certificates etc.) for compliance with contractual obligations
- Confirm the appropriate qualifications and certifications for all contractor employees, resources, and equipment
- Review on site traffic control and safety measures and report any issues to project team
- Experience working with municipalities for watermain, storm sewers and sanitary installations
- Experience working on projects with micro tunneling, horizontal directional drilling, treatment plants
- Experience in environmental and traffic controls
- Must possess a minimum of 8 years of inspection experience
- Proven analytical and negotiation skills
- Knowledge of appropriate laws and regulations (environmental, health and safety, etc.)
- Thorough understanding of design standards, Ontario Provincial Standard Specifications/Standard drawings (OPSS/OPSD's), and materials associated with municipal construction
- Possess a valid G license and reliable vehicle for travel to construction sites
