- Develop sourcing strategies (e.g. RFx, sole source negotiations, supplier consolidations etc.) that align with business technology strategy using industry analysis, business knowledge, spend analysis and sourcing expertise.
- Evaluate supplier proposals by interpreting and analyzing proposals against business requirements to recommend the best solution supplier recommendation to senior management and/or Sr. Manager, Sourcing Execution.
- Prepare and draft various contractual documents, working with legal team and other Centers of Governance to ensure all terms are compliant and meet business requirements and RBC contract standards.
- Effectively prepare, coordinate and conduct all various supplier renewals in timely manner.
- Provide support to business groups in managing supplier contracts and relationships and make necessary amendments to current contracts as necessary.
- Build effective and strong relationships with key partners and stakeholders by understanding key needs and dynamics across stakeholder groups, decision makers and influencers.
- Act as a trusted business partner to influence and lead key sponsors and stakeholders through the sourcing process, to gain buy-in, overcome challenges and deliver on high priority, high-risk, complex initiatives.
- Consistently applies an understanding of procurement policies and procedures in carrying out tasks. Demonstrates flexibility to fulfill urgent requests without unduly interrupting normal processes.
- Support development and adherence to financial, fraud-prevention and risk management controls through the Procurement process.
- 4 - 7 years’ experience in procurement sourcing, supplier and relationship management
- Understanding of procurement law and/or regulations
- Leads low/medium complexity deals with total contract value between $250,000 and $3Million
- Experience running and facilitating RFx initiatives
- Strong communication skills, negotiation skills, business acumen, analytical skills and experience leading and supporting stakeholder interactions/relationship
