Senior Associate – Family Law (8+ Years' Experience)

While a portable book of business is an asset, it is not a requirement for consideration. The successful candidate will work on a broad range of complex family matters, including parenting, support, asset division, and agreements, and must demonstrate a high level of professionalism, independence, and integrity.Key Responsibilities:Represent clients in family law proceedings including mediations, chambers, and trials.Draft, review, and negotiate a wide array of family law documents and agreements.Conduct legal research and deliver clear, strategic legal advice.Manage a varied caseload independently from intake through resolution.Collaborate with colleagues on strategy, mentorship, and team support.Maintain strong client relationships with a commitment to responsiveness and results.Qualifications:Juris Doctor (JD) or equivalent from a recognized law school.Member in good standing with the Law Society of British Columbia.Minimum 8 years’ experience practicing family law.Proven family law litigation experience and strong courtroom advocacy skills.Excellent written and oral communication abilities.Demonstrated organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.A client-focused approach grounded in empathy, integrity, and discretion.Compensation:The firm offers flexible and competitive compensation options, including a salary or fee-split model, tailored to align with the candidate’s experience, goals, and business development preferences.
