At this firm in Milton, On. they value humility, hard work, and initiative, and we take pride in making a lasting impact for our clients and our community.What You Will Do:· Prepare corporate (T2) and personal (T1) tax returns using Taxprep· Assist with account reconciliations and adjusting journal entries· Preparation of Compilation Engagement working papers and year-end files for accountants· Assist with GST/HST, payroll remittances, and other compliance filings
- Build client relationships with the Partner. Beyond the one engagement assist and highlight other needs· Communicate with clients to request information and clarify discrepancies· Collaborate with bookkeepers and accountants to ensure smooth workflow· Contribute to planning, advisory, and special projectsWhat We are Looking For:· CPA designation or working towards designation is preferred· 3 years plus of experience in an accounting technician or junior accounting role (public practice an asset)· Strong technical knowledge of Canadian tax and accounting standards· Proficiency with QuickBooks Online, Xero, Sage, or similar accounting software· Excellent problem-solving and communication skills· A self-starter who takes initiative and thrives in a collaborative environment· Detail-oriented, organized, and dependable· Strong written and verbal communication skillsJD# 34931
