- Lead, manage, and execute the full, end-to-end recruitment and onboarding strategy at one of Canada's most celebrated luxury resorts
- Support and develop two Talent Acquisition Coordinators on-site at Fairmont Chateau Whistler, whilst also working as part of Canada's Western Mountain Region (CWMR) to maintain a best-in-class recruitment process across our region
- Post job adverts, sift resumes, pre-screen candidates, schedule interviews with Hiring Managers, advise in key hiring decisions, create and send employment contracts/offers, gather pre-arrival documentation to create employment files and welcome colleagues into their new roles
- Coach, support, and follow-up with department heads and hiring managers on recruitment methods, departmental interviews and applicable legislation
- Oversee compliance with Fairmont and Accor policies as well as all local laws associated with recruitment
- Lead the hotel's bi-annual workforce planning strategy, working to find top industry talent to fill all roles across all departments at Fairmont Chateau Whistler
- Maintain an in-depth knowledge of the local job market to anticipate and fill challenging vacancies by developing talent pools and pipelines, actively sourcing candidates, creating and posting brand content on social media and leading the hotel's Internal Mobility and Referral Programs
- Represent the hotel and the region on recruitment trips to key employment markets, recruitment agencies and partner schools
- Work closely with our Staff Housing department to ensure a luxury onboarding experience for new colleagues
- Oversee the Temporary Foreign Worker program at the hotel, assisting colleagues with immigration questions and documents for their applications
- Ensure compliance with Fairmont and Accor policies as well as all local laws associated with recruitment
- At least 2 year's leadership experience in internal or agency recruitment, with a focus on high-volume roles and executive search required
- Strong administrative, networking and coaching skills
- In-depth knowledge and understanding of Canadian Immigration, the TFW Program, and PR process
- Operational experience in a hospitality setting is an asset
- CPHR Designation (or equivalent) is an asset
