- Be responsible for ongoing development of corporate and clinical leadership teams, blending individual and collective team feedback to enhance the clinical leadership team’s performance.
- Be the internal culture catalyst, business partner, change leader and facilitator dedicated to leadership teams to inspire a culture of caring, learning and results.
- Provide coaching support to leaders individually and in teams to sharpen or modify leadership team behavior to align with VCH’s values and to improve performance and organizational effectiveness.
- Utilize team based coaching to shift mindset and build skillset and capacity through just in time delivery of modular training that is designed to meet time constraints of operations.
- Collaborate with operational Directors, Managers, Physicians, and Front Line leadership teams.
- Minimum requirement of a Master’s Degree in Organizational Development, Business Administration, Psychology, Adult Education or Leadership.
- Five (5) to ten (10) years’ progressive experience in leadership team coaching and organizational development.
- Certificate or equivalent in Coaching and Leadership Development.
- Displays comprehensive knowledge of leadership development, coaching and change management principles and methodologies and ability to coach team members on these skills.
- Demonstrated ability to gain the trust of intelligent, potentially skeptical leaders and be able to engage the individuals and the whole leadership team.
- Demonstrated ability to read in-the–moment, the multiple levels of dynamics that are occurring in the team. Demonstrates a deep theoretical and practical understanding of group dynamics and team development.
- Demonstrates significant results based coaching experience with individuals and groups.
- Fosters a climate of trust, safety, transparency and commitment.
- Demonstrated excellent presentation and group facilitation skills.
- Demonstrated awareness of power and its movement within a group, and comfort with intervening to affect the ways power is used in the group.
- Demonstrated ability to put into simple, jargon-less language what is observed and the presence to raise any issue with the team or its members at the right moment.
- A keen sense of the business of healthcare, its structures of the organization and its challenges.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; effectively facilitates, collaborates and negotiates with others, and has the ability to persuade and influence.
- Utilizes adult education principles and best practices to develop and oversee leadership team development.
- Strong organizational skills; able to prioritize, plan, organize workloads and manage client expectations.
- Anticipates future changes in practice, and recommends transition strategies that optimize the efficiency, appropriateness, consistency and quality of Employee Engagement Programs.
- Develops, manages, and evaluates program delivery in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders considering service delivery needs, demands and constraints within a complex environment.
- Negotiates and influences within a collaborative framework to resolve conflict.
