Job Description:Wood is currently seeking Junior to Intermediate Instrumentation & Controls Designers with AVEVA Instrumentation experience.Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for the configuration, setup and maintenance tasks of the AVEVA Instrumentation database and software updates to ensure optimization and effective integration with other instrumentation tools.
  • Responsible for the development of all the templates used to prepare the datasheets, wiring terminations and loop diagrams as well as report generation.
  • Responsible for the coordination and development of the instrument specifications, instrument installation details, instrument wiring, and loop drawings.
  • 3D modelling of instrumentation, junction boxes and panels.
  • Design junction box location, instrument cable schedule, MTOs.
  • Design bus communication layouts for smart instrumentation.
  • Generate termination diagrams for junction boxes, wiring and loop diagrams.
  • Generate instrument location drawings.
  • Design panel layouts for instrumentation
  • Working comfortable with P&IDS, control narratives, Interlock diagrams and alarm summary tables.
  • Proficient on reading and working with equipment supplier drawings.
  • Coordinate work with I&C team members and with other disciplines.
  • Support/perform other I&C design work as required.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum 5-10 years of related experience.
  • Experience in the use of the AVEVA Instrumentation software to generate deliverables efficiently.
  • Diploma from school of Instrument/Controls Technology, or appropriate level of experience.
  • AVEVA Instrumentation experience with hands-on experience on datasheets, wiring, cabling, loop diagrams and report generation.
  • Experience in detailed design of I&C systems, including familiarity with instrumentation used in mining industry, instrument specifications, instrument installation details, instrument wiring and loop drawings.
  • Familiarity with design codes and standards.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work efficiently and demonstrate effective organizational skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks.
  • Proficient in AVEVA Instrumentation, 3D modelling, AutoCAD.
