- Maintain accurate and up-to-date truck logs to ensure proper documentation and tracking
- Manage site access by signing in and out visitors, contractors, and drivers
- Ensure all trucks are properly processed upon arrival and departure in accordance with site procedures
- Provide professional customer service to drivers, visitors, and staff as needed
- Act as a liaison between gate operations and the shipping department to support efficient workflow
- Perform access control duties, including verifying identification and authorizing entry to secure areas
- Monitor security systems (e.g., cameras, alarms) to detect suspicious activity or irregularities
- Respond promptly and effectively to incidents, emergencies, or potential security threats
- Document all incidents and observations in detailed, accurate reports
- Conduct routine foot patrols to maintain safety and security of the premises
- Inspect and analyze security systems to identify vulnerabilities or malfunctions
- Coordinate with law enforcement and emergency services during serious incidents or critical situations
- Be authorized to work in Canada
- Hold a valid security license
- First aid certification required
- Strong report writing skills
- Good eyesight and excellent ability to maintain focus
- Strong proficiency with technology
- Ability to stand and walk throughout shift
