Performing general labour, grounds maintenance, waste removal, and cleanup activities across site areas. * Observing all safety, health, radiation, and hazard‑control regulations.
  • Conducting pre‑ and post‑trip inspections on vehicles and equipment and completing required logbooks.
  • Loading and unloading vehicles as needed.
  • Carrying out waste disposal duties, collecting active and inactive waste, and maintaining disposal and recycling logs.
  • Moving furniture, construction materials, tools, and other heavy items.
  • Providing support for digging, excavating, trenching, and shoring.
  • Performing landscaping duties such as mowing, trimming, clearing brush, and maintaining grounds.
  • Clearing ditches and fire breaks to maintain safe site access.
  • Carrying out road maintenance such as pothole repair and crack sealing.
  • Erecting fencing, barriers, and temporary structures.
  • Clearing snow, sanding roadways, walkways, and building entrances during winter conditions.
  • Operating small powered equipment, including weed trimmers, leaf blowers, riding mowers, soil compactors, chainsaws, air hammers, scabblers, snow blowers, and UTVs.
  • Operating diamond drilling equipment, including in challenging or elevated locations.
  • Providing assistance to trades personnel on various work projects.
  • Demonstrating initiative and judgment to organize work and maintain accurate records.
  • Working safely under varying weather conditions and performing heavy manual labour as required.
  • Following company policies, procedures, and safety rules to ensure safe and reliable job performance.
  • Communicating effectively with supervisors, co‑workers, and contractors to support team objectives.
  • Other duties as assigned by your manager.
What we are looking for:
  • Education
High school diploma or equivalent. * Valid Class 5 (or higher) driver’s license.
  • Experience
Experience in labour, groundskeeping, maintenance, or equipment operation is an asset but not required. * Knowledge, Skills & AbilitiesAbility to learn and complete CNL‑specific training, including applicable radiation and safety courses. * Basic computer skills (Outlook, Word, Excel) are considered an asset.
  • Ability to track materials, waste, and maintenance information.
  • Ability to operate small to medium powered equipment and tools.
  • Strong physical ability for bending, lifting, climbing, digging, and manual labour.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Strong communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated punctuality, dependability, and a strong safety focus.
  • Ability to work extended or off‑normal shifts when needed (e.g., snow clearing, seasonal demands).
  • Ability to adapt to changing environments and work with minimal supervision.
  • Knowledge of WHMIS, Transportation of Dangerous Goods, work permits, JSAs, pre‑job briefs, and safe‑work procedures is an asset.
  • Security Clearance Eligibility Required
  • Level 2 Secret requires a minimum of 7 years of verifiable history in Canada, Australia, New Zealand, the United States, and/or the United Kingdom. CNL implements security screening in accordance with the Treasury Board of Canada Secretariat's “Standard on Security Screening” and the “Policy on Government Security.”
Working Conditions:
  • Working schedule: We have a compressed work week: Four (4) days per week, ten (10) hours per day for a forty (40) hour work week, starting at 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
