What you will doOperations
- Overseeing day-to-day operations, including attending daily or weekly calls with members of the offshore management team, oversight of the various CRC functional mailboxes, and responding to feedback received from onshore audit engagement teams.
- Provide direct support to audit engagement teams so they can effectively leverage the Audit CRC on their engagements.
- Assist in overseeing the Quality (QMCI) team at the CRC in India by identifying areas for quality improvement and overseeing the implementation of solutions to ensure the highest audit quality and deliverables.
- Prepare training materials, how-to, monthly/quarterly newsletters, and other guidance documents for the internal CRC portal.
- Assist with CRC resource management from an onshore perspective, including coordinating and collaborating with the National audit resource management team, lead Retain coordinators in the geographies and local offices.
- Leverage firm processes and programs to ensure active support of the business.
- Provide support to geographic business units to achieve geographic and local office CRC objectives.
- Prepare monthly reporting packages for senior audit leadership and business unit leaders, including financial results and strategic commentary on hours results and trends.
- Prepare ad hoc CRC presentations and PowerPoint decks for various stakeholders in the firm as requested by the National CRC leader.
- Expected to be a performance manager to more junior team members.
- Willingness to travel internationally and ability to obtain requisite business traveler visa / work permits for India.
- The successful candidate may be required to create, interpret and/or apply policies, practices, laws and and/or regulations during the regular course of their employment.
- The successful candidate recognizes and agrees to start their day earlier or work later than the normal office hours to allow for sufficient overlap with the offshore management team. This is a critical success factor in ensuring smooth operational oversight.
What you bring to the role
- Canadian CPA designation or international equivalent.
- 8+ years of experience working with a public practice accounting firm, with at least 5 years in a management role.
- Senior manager or equivalent, having at least 2 years of experience with KPMG Canada.
- Minimum 5 years auditing and team management experience.
- Diploma or bachelor’s in computer science, Database Management or Programming (or similar programs or a combination of relevant experience) is required.
- Proficiency and knowledgeable with analytics and visualization tools such as Power BI, Power Query, Python, R, Alteryx, Microsoft PowerApps/Power Automate.
- Proficiency and knowledge of ServiceNow is an asset.
- Resourcefulness and creative problem-solving skills – you are a proactive person and always come up with new ideas and ways of working forward.
- Strong technical audit skills and varied audit experience.
- Proven time management and organizational skills
- PCAOB accreditation is an asset.
- Superior written, and verbal communication skills in English is required.
- Experience facilitating any of the Audit Foundations courses offered by KBS (or in a similar role) is an asset.
