Voyago is proud to be named one of Canada's Safest Employers and a multi-year recipient of the Excellence Award.Primary ResponsibilitiesThe Driver Trainer is responsible for training and teaching employees how to drive all Company owned vehicles in a safe and professional manner. The role also includes providing a high degree of customer service in a fast-paced work environment.This position includes the following duties:
- Conduct Driver Assessments to evaluate skill, safety, and readiness.
- Deliver Voyago Division Training Programs in accordance with company standards and policies.
- Facilitate License Upgrading programs, specifically for B Class licensing.
- Lead external instructional training sessions as required.
- Support the Transit Supervisor with additional duties and projects as assigned.
- Valid B or F Class License held for a minimum of 3 years required
- Clean Driver Abstract with no demerit points required
- Clean Criminal Record Search with Vulnerable Sector Screening required
- Proven track record of excellent customer service
- Strong knowledge of Durham Region and surrounding areas
- Effective organizational and communication skills
- Flexible availability, including evenings and weekends as required
- Understanding of the vehicle-for-hire industry and relevant regulations
- Familiarity with wheelchair tie-down systems (Q'Straint and similar)
