Our client, a well-established and growing general contractor, is seeking an experienced Estimator to join their Pre-Construction team. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with a background in ICI estimating who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys working closely with operations and project teams.What you will be doing:
Estimating & CostingPrepare detailed quantity take-offs and cost estimates for ICI construction projectsAnalyze drawings, specifications, and tender documents to develop accurate pricingDevelop estimates for labour, materials, equipment, subcontractors, and general conditionsBid ManagementManage the full tendering process including subcontractor solicitation, bid leveling, and closing proceduresReview and analyze subcontractor and supplier quotes to ensure full scope coverageCost Analysis & StrategyUtilize historical data, market trends, and current pricing to improve estimate accuracyIdentify risks, opportunities, and cost-saving strategies to enhance bid competitivenessCollaborationWork closely with Project Managers, Superintendents, and Operations teams on project planning and budgetingSupport pre-construction activities including scope development and cost planningProject SupportAssist with change orders, cost updates, and project handover documentationParticipate in estimate reviews, tender closings, and project debriefsWhat you must have:Minimum 3+ years of estimating experience within ICI construction (required)Strong experience preparing estimates across commercial, institutional, and/or industrial projectsPost-secondary education in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field is an assetProficiency with Primavera P6 and/or MS ProjectExperience with Bluebeam, CAD, and digital takeoff software is considered an assetStrong understanding of construction methods, scheduling, and project sequencingExcellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skillsStrong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across teamsValid driver’s licenseSalary/Rate Range: $90,000.00 – $120,000.00Other Information:
