OverviewWe’re hiring a Senior Accountant for a well-established construction and aggregates company. This hybrid role is based in Simcoe County and includes weekly travel to nearby operational sites. Reporting to the Accounting Manager, you'll support both finance and operations with hands-on accounting and analysis. This role is hybrid.Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare journal entries and assist with month/quarter/year-end closeManage HST/GST filings and corporate tax remittancesSupport operations with financial reporting and analysisReconcile sales and ensure accurate codingMaintain fixed assets and depreciation schedulesReview AP coding and account reconciliationsAssist with audit preparation and Stats Canada reportingQualificationsDiploma or degree in Accounting (minimum high school required)2–3 years’ experience in accounting, ideally in construction or operationsStrong Excel skills and working knowledge of accounting principlesValid G-class driver’s license and clean abstract (travel required)Detail-oriented with strong analytical skillsCPA enrollment a plus, but not required
