Team Leadership & Development
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing finance team.

- Promote a culture of financial stewardship, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Provide strategic insights to support decision-making, long-term planning, and capital initiatives, including participation in fundraising or pitch committees with senior leadership.
- Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
- Analyze financial results versus budget and forecast, providing actionable recommendations for operational and strategic improvements.
- Assess production and engineering costs, identify cost-saving opportunities, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Work with operations to optimize inventory management and allocate labor, materials, and factory overhead efficiently.
- Submit bank margin reports, grant reports, and GST filings.
- Prepare financial reporting packages and presentations for leadership.
- Develop cash flow strategies to support both operational requirements and strategic growth initiatives.
- Oversee accounts receivable and payable processes, ensuring timely collections and payments.
- Report cash flow and financial KPIs to leadership, highlighting risk areas and opportunities.
- Lead the budgeting process, including setting financial targets, forecasting costs, and cash flow projections.
- Analyze budget vs. actual performance, identifying variances, risks, and opportunities for efficiency improvements.
- Support long-term financial planning and scenario modeling to enable strategic business decisions.
- Maintain and strengthen internal controls to ensure data integrity, financial accuracy, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Oversee risk management processes and ensure adherence to corporate policies, tax laws, and accounting standards.
- Collaborate with external accountants and auditors to facilitate annual reporting and compliance requirements.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field
- CPA or CMA Designation
- Minimum 5 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 1 year in a manufacturing environment
