If you are looking for interesting and challenging work, at a company committed to its people, find out more about what Aviso Wealth has to offer at .The Opportunity:We're looking for an Enterprise Risk Specialist to join our Enterprise Risk Management team.This role can be mostly remote, however we will on occasion require you to come onsite to our office at 1111 West Georgia St, Vancouver, BC.Reporting to the Director, Enterprise Risk Management, the Enterprise Risk Specialist is responsible for working closely with internal stakeholders to assess and analyze emerging and developing risks. Your expertise will drive the implementation of additional controls and mitigations, reducing risk for Aviso and enhancing our control environment. With responsibilities ranging from managing our ERM software to supporting crisis management programs, every day promises new challenges and opportunities to make a meaningful impact.Who you are:

What your day looks like:
  • Support the annual refresh of Aviso's enterprise risk management framework, including risk appetite statements and key risk indicators
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand their specific risk exposures, and identify and conduct analysis on key risk indicators to support monitoring of emerging risks
  • Recommend additional controls and mitigations to improve Aviso's control environment and reduce risk
  • Review quarterly risk register updates to oversee the management of Aviso's top risks, including ensuring adequate controls are in place and risk mitigation strategies are planned or in progress
  • Manage enterprise risk management software
  • Support the quarterly senior management and Board of Directors reporting process, including preparation of risk reports (collect, organize, and visualize risk metric information)
  • Support the crisis management program, including maintaining and updating crisis management plans and procedures, and developing tabletop exercises
Requirements:Your experience and skills:
  • Minimum 5+ years relevant enterprise and/or operational risk management experience, preferably in the financial services industry
  • Canadian Risk Management (CRM) designation, RIMS-Certified Risk Management Professional certification, Financial Risk Manager (FRM) certification or Crisis Management or Business Continuity Certification (ABCP, CBCP) is an asset.
  • Proven experience in risk identification, risk analysis, risk treatment and implementing risk management strategies
  • Self-motivated, accountable, results driven and proactive
  • Exceptional relationship building skills - ability to work effectively with people at all levels in an organization
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
  • Advanced Power Point skills
  • Fluent communication skills in English are required and bilingual skills in French are an asset
