- Support the annual refresh of Aviso's enterprise risk management framework, including risk appetite statements and key risk indicators
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand their specific risk exposures, and identify and conduct analysis on key risk indicators to support monitoring of emerging risks
- Recommend additional controls and mitigations to improve Aviso's control environment and reduce risk
- Review quarterly risk register updates to oversee the management of Aviso's top risks, including ensuring adequate controls are in place and risk mitigation strategies are planned or in progress
- Manage enterprise risk management software
- Support the quarterly senior management and Board of Directors reporting process, including preparation of risk reports (collect, organize, and visualize risk metric information)
- Support the crisis management program, including maintaining and updating crisis management plans and procedures, and developing tabletop exercises
- Minimum 5+ years relevant enterprise and/or operational risk management experience, preferably in the financial services industry
- Canadian Risk Management (CRM) designation, RIMS-Certified Risk Management Professional certification, Financial Risk Manager (FRM) certification or Crisis Management or Business Continuity Certification (ABCP, CBCP) is an asset.
- Proven experience in risk identification, risk analysis, risk treatment and implementing risk management strategies
- Self-motivated, accountable, results driven and proactive
- Exceptional relationship building skills - ability to work effectively with people at all levels in an organization
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Advanced Power Point skills
- Fluent communication skills in English are required and bilingual skills in French are an asset
