The Technology and Innovation Ministry has a requirement for a Senior Application Developer.The developer will be assigned requirements gathering & programming duties for application projects and enhancement tasks. The individual will also work closely with application development and maintenance teams. In addition, the developer will work directly with subject matter experts in the business areas for application testing and remediation to ensure code functions as per specification.Duties:
Participate in the development, maintenance, testing, and implementation of applications for the ministry as required and further defined below:
Maintain and support the TRA Application System.
Maintain and support the Corporate and Commodity Audit System.
Maintain and support the Dispute Resolution, Analysis and Tracking System.
Maintain and support the Compliance Inventory Management System.
Maintain and support the Corporate/Commodity Tax system
Maintain and support the TBF Incident Management System
Follow all ministry and Govt architectural, and security standards, policies and guidelines when building applications.
Ensure code is thoroughly tested by following testing best practices including the use of unit testing, system testing, and performance testing.
Assist in troubleshooting application issues in any environment.
Create or update existing application support documentation for assigned applications to ensure that it matches the code and environment.
Assist in managing and maintaining development and system test environments required to maintain the applications.
Application code development and solution outputs (assemblies, web applications, database objects, installation packages, plus any other type of development within this scope that is required)
Application assemblies or modules that are unit tested and pass quality assurance standards.
Application code solutions are added to the department's source control system as per ministry standards
Artifacts that support the tracking and reporting of defects related to development, deployment, and testing of the product
Artifacts such as drawings, models, or documents that are used to communicate/explain estimates, analysis, work items and /or product
Reporting related to the progress of assigned work, highlighting any expected deviations from previously agreed upon estimates Monitor shared inbox to perform daily support for the applications listed.Qualifications:

5 years experience in designing, building, testing, deploying and supporting applications in...
5 years experience with Oracle Database 10g/11g/12c/19c or higher
5 years experience with Oracle Forms 11g/12c development or higher
5 years experience with Oracle Reports 10g/11g development or higher
5 years experience with software development processes, and all associated best practices...
5 years experience with Windows, Linux, Unix, Solaris
5 years experience working with Oracle PL/SQL development
Nice to Have
5 years experience documenting user requirements, business processes, and workflows.
