To that end, we recruit candidates from different backgrounds and foster a work environment that encourages employees to collaborate and learn from each other, completely free of barriers.Your role:As Senior Technical Product Manager, NetSuite ERP, you will take ownership of the company's NetSuite Enterprise Resource Planning System by leading design and development efforts, as well as system administration, with the ultimate objective of helping the business scale. Reporting to the Product Director, Financial Systems, you bring extensive NetSuite ERP experience to help Global Relay maximize its investment in transforming its Financial Systems landscape. You will develop a deep understanding of the financial processes and data architecture of Global Relay and apply this knowledge to engineer cross-functional solutions that focus on the efficient management of our growing business. You will play a key role in helping business stakeholders understand the art of the possible and how we can better automate and streamline processes through NetSuite and SuiteApp partners. You will build relationships with stakeholders and lead system improvement projects by gathering business requirements, analyzing the best path forward, building roadmaps and driving timely execution of deliverables to help the business achieve its ambitious growth goals.Your responsibilities:
  • Play a leading role in all Product Management activities to increase the business value from the NetSuite ERP eco-system across functions such as, but not limited to:
  • financial reporting and consolidation
  • general ledger
  • A/P and A/R
  • procurement
  • billing
  • payment gateway
  • Synthesize business need discovery with continued NetSuite product release and broader SuiteApp or relevant partner applications research as the basis for ongoing roadmap strategizing, stakeholder engagement, roadmap planning and confirmation to continuously extend the business benefit of these technologies in Global Relay
  • Take ownership of roadmap development activities by identifying and defining initiatives, themes, use cases, requirements, epics and stories
  • Scope and design integrations between NetSuite and other company systems, including working with data architects, fellow product managers and security specialists to provide secure, efficient, performant and easy to support integration services and information flow
  • Scope and direct Business Analyst activities to map current and future state processes, business rules and information flow to aid change management and enable continuous system and process optimization and knowledge retention
  • Minimize technical debt through a standardization-first approach, designing and implementing customizations that support justifiable return on investment, providing capability that would otherwise not be possible through standard NetSuite or SuiteApp ecosystem products
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance with accounting standards
  • Manage Administrators and their activities for day-to-day administration and sustainment of NetSuite ERP and associated applications it interfaces with (i.e. NetSuite, SAP Concur, AvaTax, Billing, Usage Data and others as ecosystem grows), ensuring runbooks, processes and procedures are documented and kept updated as systems and process change
  • Lead standups and backlog grooming activities to align with release cadence of other business technology teams and ensure that release management steps are followed
  • Oversee incident and problem management processes, ensuring application and data issues are appropriately triaged and resolved by System Admins on a timely basis, keeping stakeholders updated and root causes are identified and eliminated
  • Manage the implementation and support of major system upgrades in NetSuite and other NetSuite ecosystem applications
  • Manage all activities of the SDLC to oversee and manage testing and implementation of ongoing improvements
  • Collaborate closely with product managers from other Business Technology product lines to ensure efficient management of information flow across systems with a focus on data governance supporting systems of record and reporting and analytics
About you:
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or business information systems
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience implementing NetSuite, or leading as a NetSuite subject matter expert at a SaaS business, with strong proficiency in NetSuite Finance modules and the Order-to-Cash business transaction flow. Depth of hands-on experience is a key consideration in selecting the successful candidate
  • Experience with customizations, scripts, and workflows in NetSuite and making use of the product's platform capabilities for extensions if necessary
  • Prior experience working with integrating Third Party Billing solutions with NetSuite to cater for complex subscription billing needs is desirable (Zone Advanced Billing preferred)
  • Prior experience integrating NetSuite with Salesforce CRM is required (experience with Salesforce CPQ is an asset)
  • Solid understanding of accounting principles and standards, particularly as they apply to SaaS subscription-based businesses.
  • Ability to confidently converse with Finance & Accounting stakeholders regarding topics such as Month-End-Close, Billing, Financial Reporting, Collections, Procurement, Accounts Payable, Tax, Payroll etc.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • NetSuite certifications (such as SuiteFoundation, Administrator, ERP Consultant) are a definite plus
  • Prior experience with integrating scalable payment processors with NetSuite to facilitate credit card and other forms of payments and associated reconciliations
Compensation:Global Relay advertises the pay range for this role in compliance with British Columbia's pay transparency laws.
