- Manage a team of structural designers and stress analysts.
- Develop and implement strategies for the definition of future aircraft structures, proposing innovative and competitive solutions.
- Develop or adapt tools and processes according to the needs of the function in order to achieve our organizational objectives.
- Ensure that adequate engineering resources are assigned to tasks to meet product development deadlines and project execution.
- Set annual employee objectives, evaluate performance, establish salary and recommendations for career progression.
- Be accountable for your group's performance - delivering on time, on budget and with quality to support company objectives.
- Ensure a positive and healthy work environment for employees (communication, recognition, coaching and career development plans/opportunities).
- Provide visibility on execution, problems encountered and escalate as needed to your manager/director.
- Manage and resolve priority conflicts within own department and with internal customers.
- Participate in the recruitment and integration of new employees.
- Participate in budget preparation and be responsible for the management of financial resources.
- Identify training and travel required to support to the business needs.
- You have a bachelor's degree in mechanical or aeronautical engineering.
- You have 10+ years in the aerospace industry, with a good understanding of the requirements related to the development of primary structures, both in terms of design and justification.
- You have experience in structural integrations, and a good understanding of how the systems work and interact with the overall aircraft.
- You have practical experience of conceptual design and preliminary sizing.
- You have an interest in business aviation improvement and are a strategic thinker.
- You have a minimum of 2-3 years' positive experience in a management position.
- You are a team player, work in a multidisciplinary team and can demonstrate strong organizational and managerial skills (planning structure and prioritization)
- You are creative in finding ways to solve problems and have the ability to bring your ideas to fruition.
- You are organized/motivated and bilingual (French, English) with strong oral/written English skills.
- You have knowledge of aeronautical product certification (Atout)
- You have experience in developing new products and supporting products in service (Asset)
