- Clean and sanitize walls, floors, doors, equipment, tools, and work areas to maintain hygiene and meet housekeeping standards.
- Inspect facilities, report cleanliness issues, and maintain accurate cleaning records.
- Safely handle cleaning chemicals, operate cleaning equipment, and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Follow all food safety and workplace protocols, including GMPs, HACCP, LOTO, Safety, and SSOP procedures, to ensure compliance.
- Collaborate with quality teams to address sanitation-related concerns and participate in training to improve processes and skills
- Perform general production tasks such as packing bread and rolls and other assigned duties.
- Previous experience in sanitation, food manufacturing, industrial setting or a similar environment is preferred
- Capability to perform physically demanding tasks, including standing, bending, lifting, and working in cold or wet environments.
- Ability to identify cleanliness issues and maintain high sanitation standards.
- Experience using cleaning equipment like pressure washers, vacuums, or foaming machines.
- Knowledge of handling and using cleaning chemicals safely, including understanding Safety Data Sheets (SDS).
- Ability to follow cleaning schedules and complete tasks efficiently.
- Commitment to adhering to workplace safety rules and food safety regulations.
- Familiarity with food safety standards such as GMPs, HACCP, and SSOPs
- Flexibility with time shifts, work on weekends, or overtime as required
