- Research to identify potential new clients, strategic partners, and competitive trends.
- Proactively target qualified markets & people, build relationships, and pursue new opportunities for projects &/or a service agreement.
- Maintain deep client relationships (during and after any job), ensuring satisfaction and retention and driving more and future projects.
- Participate in RFP processes, develop proposals, and manage bids to acquire new clients.
- Follow up, manage & track all B2B leads generated from marketing campaigns, converting them into sales opportunities.
- Build and maintain relationships with referral sources and Centers of Influence to create new opportunities.
- Be the “face” of the renovation business unit, collaborating with corporate marketing regarding the website, LinkedIn presence, Google Ads and SEO tactics, eMarketing, events and shows, etc.
- Attend and represent WINMAR® at industry trade shows, webinars, community events (e.g., IBAM, SIP, BOMA, PPMA, BBB, SLA), golf tournaments, dinners, and sporting events to foster relationships with potential and existing clients.
- Schedule visits to national and regional accounts, maintaining fresh contact information and nurturing existing partnerships.
- Organize and host meetings, luncheons, seminars, and training sessions for clients and partners.
- Respond to emails and inquiries promptly and professionally.
- Ensure a high level of client satisfaction by offering excellent customer service and addressing any concerns.
- Monitor job quality and take proactive steps to safeguard client property and information.
- Maintain a monthly business development budget for events and promotional activities.
- Order and manage promotional materials such as brochures, business cards, and branded merchandise.
- Utilize CRM to manage all prospects, customers, contacts, opportunities and activities.
- Manage new partner contracts for the corporate head office and monitor agreement compliance.
- 3+ years’ experience in relationship-oriented, new business development, working both from in-office and in the field/community.
- The character and canvas to work hard, learn, and grow while being open to coaching.
- An accountable, performance-based approach to work.
- Familiarity or interest in construction, restoration, or insurance sectors is an asset.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to communicate professionally and effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong sales acumen with proven skills in negotiation, relationship management, and strategic planning.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Suite; experience with digital marketing tools preferred.
- Willing to travel and work flexible hours, including some evenings, weekends, and on-call availability.
- Relevant post-secondary degrees are strongly considered and preferred.
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. unassisted, with occasional assistance for heavier lifting.
- Comfortable working in various environments, requiring standing, sitting, bending, and kneeling periods.
