- Sales Incentive compensation package in addition to base salary
- Drive wedding segment revenue through timely lead response, effective qualification, and conversion of inquiries.
- Prepare and manage proposals, contracts, and sales documentation to support booking decisions.
- Identify and secure up-sell opportunities during planning to exceed initial contracted revenue.
- Represent the resort through site tours, trade shows, and targeted sales initiatives.
- Act as the primary on-site contact for assigned weddings and events.
- Facilitate and attend all wedding menu tastings with the wedding couples.
- Ensure a smooth transition from sales to event servicing, maintaining continuity and accountability.
- Oversee event planning, confirmation of details, and execution in collaboration with resort operations.
- Conduct pre-event and post-event meetings to align departments and support client satisfaction and repeat business.
- Produce and distribute accurate Banquet Event Orders (BEOs), floor plans, and group resumes within required timelines.
- Manage guaranteed guest counts, rooming lists, and allocations to support labour and food cost control.
- Collaborate with culinary leadership to develop menus that meet guest expectations while aligning with operational capabilities and cost parameters.
- Initiate billing procedures and ensure deposits, credit approvals, and documentation are completed in accordance with resort policies.
- Maintain a sales-oriented, guest-focused mindset that maximizes resort-wide revenue opportunities.
- Demonstrate sound judgment, initiative, and adaptability in a dynamic operating environment.
- Model Deerhurst Resort standards while fostering strong working relationships with clients and internal teams.
- Maintain flexibility to support events during evenings and weekends as required.
- Proven experience in wedding sales, event management, or sales leadership within a hotel or resort environment.
- Strong business acumen with the ability to balance revenue generation and operational execution.
- Exceptional communication, organizational, and relationship-management skills.
- Advanced administrative capability with proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with sales or event management systems preferred.
- Hospitality Degree or Diploma considered an asset.
- Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle required.
