- Process bi-weekly payroll for approximately 140 employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company and government standards.
- Review and verify salary allocations to maintain accurate records and compliance with organizational policies.
- Manage payroll-related functions, including tax reporting, benefit administration, and accounting processes.
- Utilize ADP Workforce Now to execute payroll tasks efficiently and address system-related issues.
- Calculate and process statutory deductions such as income tax, CPP, and EI contributions.
- Reconcile payroll accounts and prepare reports for internal and external stakeholders.
- Collaborate with the accounting team to ensure seamless integration of payroll and financial data.
- Stay updated on payroll legislation and best practices to ensure compliance with evolving regulations.
- Address employee inquiries related to payroll, benefits, and tax deductions in a thorough and timely manner.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in payroll administration or a related field.
- Proficiency with ADP Workforce Now and other payroll processing systems.
- Strong understanding of payroll, tax accounting, and benefit functions.
- Familiarity with accounting software, such as NetSuite, is an asset.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism.
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with employees and management.
- Knowledge of Canadian payroll laws and regulations.
