Job Description:We are looking for a meticulous Payroll Administrator to join our team in Vancouver, British Columbia. In this Contract-to-Permanent position, you will oversee the end-to-end payroll process while ensuring compliance with applicable regulations. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in payroll systems and accounting practices who thrives in a collaborative environment.Responsibilities:
  • Process bi-weekly payroll for approximately 140 employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company and government standards.
  • Review and verify salary allocations to maintain accurate records and compliance with organizational policies.
  • Manage payroll-related functions, including tax reporting, benefit administration, and accounting processes.
  • Utilize ADP Workforce Now to execute payroll tasks efficiently and address system-related issues.
  • Calculate and process statutory deductions such as income tax, CPP, and EI contributions.
  • Reconcile payroll accounts and prepare reports for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with the accounting team to ensure seamless integration of payroll and financial data.
  • Stay updated on payroll legislation and best practices to ensure compliance with evolving regulations.
  • Address employee inquiries related to payroll, benefits, and tax deductions in a thorough and timely manner.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in payroll administration or a related field.
  • Proficiency with ADP Workforce Now and other payroll processing systems.
  • Strong understanding of payroll, tax accounting, and benefit functions.
  • Familiarity with accounting software, such as NetSuite, is an asset.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism.
  • Strong communication skills to interact effectively with employees and management.
  • Knowledge of Canadian payroll laws and regulations.
