Duties include reception coverage, access control, monitoring security systems, conducting patrols, and supporting Parole Office staff by managing client arrivals and maintaining a safe, professional atmosphere.Why This Role Is ImportantYour work helps ensure the safety of Parole Office staff, clients, and the public while supporting a controlled, respectful, and secure environment for individuals who may be experiencing stress, mental health challenges, or recovery from addiction.What You Bring
- Valid Alberta Security License
- Valid First Aid & CPR Certification
- High School Diploma or GED
- Driver's License, Class 5 and access to a person vehicle
- Ability to pass Enhanced Reliability Clearance
- Professional, patient, and respectful customer service skills
- Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, access control systems, and fire panel systems
- Ability to conduct walking patrols and climb stairs
- Ability to remain seated in a stationary post for extended periods
- Ability to visually monitor cameras and surroundings
- Ability to respond appropriately to alarms and incidents
- Stationed at a desk for a significant portion of the shift
- Primarily interior patrols with occasional exterior patrols
- Public-facing environment involving direct interaction with clients
- Two shifts per week from 16:00-20:00
