
Transportation Analyst

- Evaluate client businesses using qualitative and quantitative information
- Conduct quantitative analysis of the performance of transportation infrastructure, transportation service providers, and the transit industry
- Analyze operational, asset, and performance data using Microsoft Excel and other analytics tools such as proprietary tools as required
- Coordinate with team members from different offices to support project work
- Support and coordinate fieldwork (i.e., data collection, facility inspection, developing work plans, liaising with clients) conducted by project teams
- Support client data modeling and planning needs through financial planning and modeling
- Perform QA/QC work of collected or computed data/models
- Support preparation of client deliverables including written reports and presentations
- Bachelor’s Degree in relevant fields such as Economics, Civil Engineering, Planning, Public Administration, or Transportation Planning
- 1-2 years of work experience
- Experience with Microsoft Excel data modelling
- Interest in the use and application of data analysis in the transportation and transit industries
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills
- Comfortable with the use of Microsoft Office products, especially Microsoft Excel
- Knowledge of standard transportation planning requirements and practices
- Knowledge of standard financial modeling practices
- Master’s Degree in Economics, Civil Engineering, Planning, Public Administration, Transportation Planning or related fields
- Experience with MS Access, ArcGIS, and / or enterprise asset management software (e.g., Maximo, Infor, AssetWorks, etc.) systems are a plus
- Experience with transforming and maintaining large datasets
