I am a private individual seeking a dedicated and experienced senior/health care professional, who will provide a high level of care to my elderly relative suffering from Alzheimer's and Dementia, from the very first day. The position is on a full-time basis with a requirement of 40-50 hours per week, covering all seven days of the week, at varied times. Please note, the candidate must own a car and be in possession of a valid driver's license as driving is a necessity in performing this role. The successful candidate will be mandated with tasks that include, but not limited to: running errands; escorting to and plan visits, outings, and trips to visit friends, family, and neighbours; as well as grocery shopping. In addition, the person for this role would ideally offer assistance with ambulation, heavy patient lifting & transfer, toileting, range of motion exercises, dressing, grooming, and bathing. Furthermore, the individual should be capable of providing Alzheimer/Dementia care and support. Household chores such as handling laundry, cleaning, meal planning / preparation, and washing dishes will be part and parcel of the daily responsibilities. This could either be a live-in or live-out position depending on the individual's preference or circumstances. The start date for this role will be immediate, hence, applicants who can adapt quickly are preferred.
