  • Inspect the work area and scale as needed;
  • Secure the drilling area using barricades or signage according to identified risks;
  • Inspect and prepare drilling equipment (drill, rods, tools, etc.);
  • Read and interpret drill plans and technical instructions;
  • Drill holes according to specified parameters (depth, diameter, angle) and blasting layouts;
  • Verify the quality of drilled holes and report any anomalies (deviation, ground conditions, etc.);
  • Maintain services in the work area (ventilation, water, compressed air);
  • Work proactively by suggesting improvements related to safety, quality, and operational efficiency;
  • Keep the drilling area clean and safe at all times;
  • Apply and comply with all procedures, policies, and regulations in force in Ontario;
  • Perform any other tasks assigned by the supervisor.
Job Requirements
  • Valid Ontario Underground Hard Rock Miner Common Core modules, including specialty modules related to long hole drilling
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience operating long hole drilling equipment in an underground mining environment
