- Partner with leadership to shape long-term infrastructure strategy and roadmaps that directly support and accelerate overarching business goals.
- Design, implement, and maintain highly available, scalable, and secure infrastructure on AWS.
- Develop infrastructure-as-code to manage and scale environments.
- Drive infrastructure cost optimization while maintaining performance and reliability.
- Ensure efficient use of compute resources (GPUs/TPUs) for AI workloads while managing costs and scalability.
- Evaluate and integrate emerging AI-powered tools to enhance operational efficiency and developer productivity.
- Leverage AI/ML tools to predict infrastructure issues before they impact performance, automate root-cause analysis, and optimize CI/CD pipelines.
- Establish monitoring, alerting, and logging systems to ensure visibility, performance, and reliability.
- Participate in incident response and postmortem processes; help establish and refine best practices.
- Collaborate closely with engineering teams to optimize build, deployment, and release processes.
- Establish and evolve CI/CD pipelines, ensuring fast, reliable, and automated software delivery.
- Set and enforce DevOps best practices across the organization, mentoring engineers in cloud, automation, and security.
- Operate with a high degree of resourcefulness and autonomy; you will be empowered to make significant technical decisions and drive projects end-to-end with limited oversight.
- 7+ years of experience in a combined SRE/ DevOps, Infrastructure, or Systems Engineering role, with at least 2+ years of experience acting as a primary technical contributor in a lead or senior position.
- Recent experience working on a small, agile team in a start-up environment.
- Deep expertise with cloud platforms (AWS required; experience with GCP or Azure a plus).
- Hands-on experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes, ECS, etc.).
- Solid understanding of networking, security, and infrastructure monitoring.
- Proficiency in debugging, triaging, and isolating faults across distributed, microservices-based systems.
- Experience scaling, consolidating, and standardizing infrastructure in a startup environment.
- Strong background in CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, CircleCI, or similar).
- Proficiency in infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform, Pulumi, or CloudFormation).
- Strong scripting/programming skills (Python, Bash, Go, or similar).
- Experience working in an environment shaped by acquisitions or rapid growth, with an appreciation for the technical and cultural complexity that comes with it.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across engineering and leadership teams along with the ability to clearly articulate complex technical concepts.
