- Lead and oversee the project team responsible for tailings containment facility design and other mine waste facilities.
- Review field investigation plans and provide support technical support during Geotechnical investigation campaign.
- Prepare technical drawings, specifications, and geotechnical investigations.
- Play a key role in technical reviews concerning the management of mine tailings and waste rock.
- Develop geotechnical engineering recommendations regarding, but not limited to, seismic analysis, soil mechanics, soil and rock engineering parameters, deep and shallow foundations, frost issues, soil dynamic parameters and site development.
- Play a key role in technical reviews concerning the management of mine tailings and waste rock. Actively participate in project meetings related to geotechnical aspects.

- Bachelor's degree or advance degree in Geological, Civil (with geotechnical focus), Geotechnical, Geo-environmental or related field
- Registered as Professional Engineer in Ontario or be eligible for P.Eng status in any Canadian province.
- 15+ years of experience leading multidisciplinary teams of large- and small-scale projects within Mining and Metals
- Experience in the dams’ design, seepage and stress-strain software and dynamic and seismic analyses. Geotechnical engineering knowledge on mining projects and pursuits, including tailings strategies, mining dam safety, mine infrastructure, dam stability and dam safety review.
- The ideal candidate must possess a demonstrated ability for teamwork within multidisciplinary engineering teams composed mainly of geotechnical engineers, hydrologists, hydrogeologists, and environmental specialists.
