- Consistently perform your work in accordance with Transport Canada regulations and the organizations Quality Management System.
- Conduct Control System Inspections on your work and as requested by team members.
- Certify maintenance releases and other related maintenance documentation, within the scope of the granted Aircraft Certification Authority.
- Guide, direct, mentor and in some cases supervise unlicensed personnel assigned to you. Recommend further training to the Director of Maintenance and/or the Quality Manager.
- Manage your AME license renewals.
- Assist in the good housekeeping of the shop work areas and shop equipment.
- Install aircraft instruments and components in accordance with approved and/or specified data and applicable airworthiness requirements.
- Conduct regular inspections, troubleshooting, and maintenance of avionics systems in accordance with Transport Canada regulations.
- Perform scheduled maintenance tasks, including system checks, component replacements and upgrades, while maintaining compliance with manufacturer specifications.
- Identify and rectify avionics-related discrepancies and faults using established procedures and industry best practices.
- Ensure accurate documentation of all maintenance activities, repairs, and modifications in accordance with Canadian regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and departments to address and resolve avionics-related issues promptly.
- Perform functional tests on repaired or upgraded systems to ensure proper functionality and safety compliance.
- Stay in tune with technological advancements and updates in avionics systems.
- Review scope of assignments and evaluate project needs including your own skill set. Self-identify skill gaps to the Maintenance Director.
- Review work accomplished and conduct certifications within your authority.
- Use the company library for information, check relevancy before use.
- Use the company special tooling, check condition and calibration records before use. Monitor the tool and equipment condition and needs of the AMO.
- Shift priorities when called to assist in the performance of unscheduled maintenance; effectively prepare and perform related maintenance work, including documentation.
- Attend and effectively participate in production meetings at the call of the DOM.
- Appropriately greet clientele on site at encounters. At customer sites, perform work and professionally represent the company.
- Guide and assist stores personnel with part information as requested.
