Les projets comprennent un mélange de projets résidentiels, multifamiliaux et commerciaux, en mettant l'accent sur la réparation des dommages causés par le feu, le vent, les inondations et les impacts, ainsi que la réutilisation adaptative des bâtiments plus anciens et l'amélioration des installations existantes pour s'adapter aux changements d'utilisation et de mise en œuvre de l'équipement et de la machinerie.Profil du candidatL’ingénieure de projet est responsable de l’évaluation et de la restauration/rénovation des structures de bâtiments existants dans les secteurs résidentiels, commerciaux et industriels et des systèmes d’envelaaoppe de bâtiments. Le candidat retenu est à l’aise de communiquer avec les clients, les entrepreneurs et de travailler sur des chantiers de construction actifs. Un engagement à fournir de solutions pratiques et créatives sont essentiels. Il/elle s’agit d’un travailleur dévoué et curieux qui prend ses responsabilités facilement et rapidement. Pour réussir dans ce rôle, cette personne doit posséder un esprit d’équipe tout en ayant la capacité de travailler de manière autonome avec un minimum de direction.Responsabilités principales
  • Superviser et former le personnel junior, assurer la gestion de la production du groupe.
  • Coordonner avec d'autres disciplines d’ingénierie et d’architecture.
  • Gérer les projets et assister les clients à toutes les phases : conception, réalisation, administration des contrats.
  • Fournir un soutien technique et superviser l’examen des travaux terminés avant la livraison au client.
  • Effectuer des relevés sur place et des évaluations de structures et d'enveloppes de bâtiments.
  • Développer des programmes de réhabilitation et recommander des concepts de projets.
  • Concevoir et analyser des éléments de construction et systèmes de bâtiments.
  • Préparer des rapports, études, dessins et devis pour réhabilitation et rénovation.
  • Commercialiser et solliciter des projets auprès de nouveaux et anciens clients.
  • Recueillir des données pour préparer des études et rapports sur les plans de dépenses en capital.
  • Effectuer des travaux d’investigation et des diagnostics de problèmes de construction.
  • Assurer la qualité sur site, la gestion de projet et l'administration des contrats.
  • Assurer la liaison avec les clients, entrepreneurs et fabricants.
  • Fournir un soutien technique et superviser l’examen des travaux terminés avant la livraison au client.
  • Contribuer au plan de vente et marketing, identifier et gérer les relations avec les clients.
  • Préparer et suivre les propositions et devis de projets, et assurer le respect des délais.
Qualifications professionnelles et expérienceÉducation
  • Diplôme en génie civil ou batiment d’une université accréditée.
  • Inscription ou admissibilité à l’Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec.
Expérience
  • Au moins 15+ ans d'expérience en ingénierie du bâtiment et restauration structurale.
  • Expérience en gestion d’équipe et formation de juniors.
  • Expérience dans une firme de génie-conseil, un atout.

Projects can be a mix of residential, multi-family and commercial, with an emphasis on fire, wind, flood and impact damage repair, the adaptive reuse of older buildings and upgrading existing facilities to accommodate changes in use and the introduction of equipment and machinery.Candidate profileThe building science engineer will be responsible for the assessment and refurbishment/renovation of existing residential, commercial and industrial building structures and building envelope systems. The successful candidate will be comfortable communicating with clients and contractors and working on active building sites. A commitment to providing practical and creative solutions is essential. S/he will be a dedicated and inquisitive worker who takes on responsibility quickly and easily. To be successful in this role, this individual must be a team player with the ability to work independently with minimal direction.Main responsibilities
  • Supervise and train junior staff, manage group production.
  • Coordinate with other engineering and architectural disciplines.
  • Manage projects and assist clients at all stages, from design to construction and contract administration.
  • Provide technical support and oversee the review of completed work prior to delivery to the client.
  • Carry out on-site surveys and assessments of building structures and envelopes.
  • Develop rehabilitation programs and recommend project concepts.
  • Design and analyze building components and systems.
  • Prepare reports, studies, drawings and quotes for renovation and refurbishment work.
  • Market and request projects from new and existing clients.
  • Collect data to prepare studies and reports for capital expenditure projects.
  • Investigate and diagnose building problems.
  • Ensure site quality, project management and contract administration.
  • Liaise with clients, contractors and manufacturers.
  • Provide technical support and oversee the review of completed work prior to delivery to the client.
  • Contribute to the sales and marketing plan, identifying and managing client relationships.
  • Prepare and monitor project proposals and quotations and ensure deadlines are met.
Qualifications and experienceEducation
  • Degree in civil or building engineering from an accredited university.
  • Membership with or eligibility to join the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec.
Work experience
  • At least 15 years of experience in building engineering and structural restoration.
  • Experience in managing teams and training junior staff.
  • Experience in a consulting engineering firm is an asset.

The employee is frequently required to stand, walk on sloped and flat roofs, sit, climb ladders, bend, climb inside attics, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, talk, hear, and drive a motor vehicle to client sites or job sites.
