At PSP Investments, you’ll join a team of motivated and engaged professionals, dedicated to propelling our organization further than ever before.ABOUT THE TEAMThe Private Investment Risk Group performs all fundamental analyses, including initial assessments and annual reviews. For private investment transactions, our group assigns internal risk ratings and specific covenants to each transaction to ensure that the risk profile of each asset class is in line with its portfolio target risk rating. In addition, the team monitors on an ongoing basis the news and various limits/guidelines for private investments. The Private Investment Risk Group ultimately reports to the Chief Risk Officer.ABOUT YOUR ROLEAs an Analyst/Sr. Analyst, Private Investment Risk, you’ll:Prepare risk reports for potential new investmentsPerform fundamental analyses of potential new investments and assign internal ratings and covenants to these transactionsIdentify and articulate main risks and mitigants for a given investmentReview the potential impact of the transaction on PSP’s total portfolioThe role will primarily focus on Credit Investments and Private Equity asset classesParticipate in the ongoing review and continuous monitoring of existing investmentsEnsure that internal ratings reflect the current risk profile of each investment and contribute to the overall review processParticipate in the quarterly risk reporting, including the monitoring of internal covenantsMonitor financial markets to identify events that could impact the value and risk profile of the portfolio investmentsCollaborate closely with other internal risk teamsWHAT YOU’LL NEEDBachelor’s degree (Finance/Economics/Accounting)Professional titles such as Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and Financial Risk Manager (FRM), considered an assetZero (0) to four (4) years of relevant experience in investment risk or credit analysis, ideally within institutional or private marketsStrong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial statementsHighly proficient in Microsoft OfficeStrong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlinesProficiency in English and French (frequent interactions in English with PSP employees based in our offices in Hong Kong, London and New York, and interactions in French with employees in our local offices in Montreal and Ottawa)We offer a tailored employee experience and competitive total rewards and benefits package* designed to attract and retain global diverse talent, reward performance, and reinforce business strategies and priorities.
