- Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand and document requirements, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
- Analyze and interpret data related to P&C Commercial insurance to provide actionable insights and contribute to decision-making processes.
- Work closely with the data engineering team to translate business requirements into technical specifications for data integration and reporting solutions.
- Utilize SQL to query, analyze, and manipulate data in support of business and technical objectives.
- Assist in the design, development, and implementation of solutions within data warehouses and other data engineering frameworks.
- Validate data accuracy and ensure the integrity of analytical outputs and reporting.
- Perform gap analyses, propose system enhancements, and address technical challenges as they arise.
- Support the creation of training materials and user documentation for new systems and processes.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of data practices and workflows within the team.
- Bachelors Degree in Business Administration or Computer Science or Engineering and 5 or more years of experience in the Information Technology area.
- High School Diploma or Equivalent and 7 or more years of experience in the Information Technology area.
- 3-5 years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst, preferably within the P&C insurance industry, with a focus on Commercial insurance.
- Proven proficiency in SQL for querying, data analysis, and troubleshooting.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to synthesize complex data into clear insights.
- Experience working in cross-functional teams, collaborating with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for requirements documentation, report preparation, and stakeholder communication.
- Experience in data warehousing or within a data engineering team.
- Knowledge of ETL processes and tools.
- Familiarity with advanced analytics tools and techniques.
- Understanding of Commercial insurance domain.
